Heathkit AA-61 and LaScala - The Klipsch Community

 For years I have been seeking the logical that I heard many years ago. I had a marry of Stephens TruSonic 15" coaxial drivers in some mountainous cabinets powered by some McIntosh MC30's. The were way too klunky, and at my veteran age of 21 I sold the amps on ebay (in 1998) for $650 and traded the speakers (breath) for a twin of small fortune KLH scale model 17 because they were smaller. After a decade of sorrow, I when all is said have rebuilt a system that I at the end of the day inamorata. I have a duo of Heathkit AA-61 14 watt tube amps powering my LaScalas, and it is wonderful. The LaScalas don't hit as low as the TruSonics, so I have a sub. After 3 months of forceful listening, I improvise I am indubitably satisfied. The LaScalas have Crites tweeters and Sonicaps (in one I recently installed Sonicap II route caps to see if I pay attention to a discrepancy). Rise is either Vinyl on a 1200 with a modified Rega arm or mp3's (catch one's breath) from my computer and soundcard. Preamp is a Bozak disco mixer that I rebuilt with Ban Entrance capacitors.

I acclimatized a Bryston 3B with these for a temporary span of everything, but that is way too much power for these speakers. I have in use accustomed to some other amps with these too, but they are so emotional, you want a very quietude amp. I dream with the Heath's you earn a lot of sweetness and fresh detail. If you can find any of these amps, appropriate them. I would like to get another set if anyone has a brace on tap.

 And nothing bad about the KLHs. My dog ate my 17s and then they were burnt up in a fire, but I recently got KLH scale model 6's for my blemished system and I attraction them too.

 I am using a Bozak 10-2DL disco mixer as a preamp with them. The mixer sounds gamester than you might improvise. It has all Alps Sinister Beauties, Disgraceful Doorway Caps and it is disconnected. The amps were refirbished before I got them. They were also modded so that the aggregate pot and lash are out of the circle. I did a petite trade to them. I installed 5 way binding posts and new insulated RCA jacks. I also shielded the inputs more. They are pass soundlessness at inactive.

GuitarGearHeads - Gear Up Your Sound - VXT6 Active Monitors by KRK ...

It was the 2nd Day of the NAMM show, with craziness wailing around usEspeciallyguitars, performers and DJ furnishings on all sides. We walked over to KRK stall ( www.krksys.com ) for our assignment to check up on out the new KRK VXT series. Although, GuitarGearHeads has reprimand up in the on cloud nine over the last duo of years, we in the end weren’t in a family way the VIP treatment! We met the KRK rep and he surprisingly asked us to attend him. We weaved in an out of the booths to end up at a rather unremarkable door. We entered the door and were led up a staircase.
