Akai Able, the name synonymous with music production, announces the MPD26 USB/MIDI Pad Controller. Akai Pro introduced the MPD26 at the 2010 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, stall 6400, January 14-17.

The MPD26 is a MIDI-over-USB pad controller with genuine MPC pads. Producers, programmers, musicians, and DJs will rate the MPD26's capabilities. Its blend of intuitive MPC controls and technologies meshes with USB connectivity to dethrone the feel of classic beatmaking to the world of computer music forming.

The heart of the MPD26 is its bank of 16 velocity and pressure-petulant MPC pads, an Akai Professional exclusive. I bought a budget-priced yamaha keyboard about 6 years ago. It had the choice of midi link with computers, but at the every so often Yamaha wanted like half the prize of the keyboard for the connecting twine! So I didn’t get it. Now I was looking at this and the price is such a prig in point of agreement I consideration I would try it. It worked! I have a piano program, and the line connects to both my Vista computer and my XP computer without concern oneself — fair-minded bung it in. Memorialize to promote the “In” into the “Out” and vise versa. It comes with instructions especially says to do that, and I messed up anyway. Ridiculous me.

Tolerable understanding large, I second it. But do retain that you extremity a piano program to record things betide, the same way you necessity a brief conversation processing program or something before you can fount something on the computer with a sane typing keyboard. You can find freeware piano keyboard software such as Anvil Studio on the internet.
