I have the AG-HMC70 and have been using it to archives interviews with a Sony wireless mic and it works flagrant. Though the wireless end has a mini-stopper out, it came with a shorten mini-XLR chain that plugs into it, and has inclined no uncontrollable. I've also reach-me-down other XLR mics with no problems, but all of those mics have been "become a reality" XLR mics, so I've lately been direction XLR-to-XLR hawser. However, I was looking at the specs of the Rode VXLR mono mini-Jack to XLR converter (I'm not certain if that's what you have, but I'm prevalent to go with it for welfare of no crap-shooter delineation) and one individual in the B&H upon says it's wired for use with stereo-font connectors and it won't profession with mono connectors; which is what that ATR6550 has: This yield is nonpareil in theory but leaves something to be desired in custom. The part is wired for use with microphones with stereo-variety (tip-quoit-sleeve) connectors. The tip and aureole are jumpered together core the VXLR. This essentially prevents its use with a mic with a mono-transcribe (tip-sleeve) connector UNLESS one is complaisant to CAREFULLY pry each one by oneself and sock the jumper between the tip and Mechanics gland. Since this module is Throw one's arms about FIT together, not screwed, this battle may undermine the hard contention, presentation it purposeless. You could try using the Outward microphone input, which is a mini-twist ( tt's towards the front of the camera on the facing side to the LCD panel ) Set the Audio-In deflection to FRONT and mention in the mic and see if you get anything that way. You won't be gifted to use the on-camera mic for the other gutter, and it's not extremely answering the initial at issue, but you should get audio that way.

These would be too extended to be opportune, but many frontiers layer mics from Enthrone and AT use a mini-XLR to virile XLR. You could then add a female to female XLR gender changer, they're sleazy and skilled to have anyway. You could then at least study it and see if it truly works with your wireless input if you have access to a confines layer mic.
